- LeRoy Reeves of the Third Regiment, Tennessee Infantry, designed the Tennessee State Flag.
- The Tennessee flag has three stars in the middle of it and they represent the East, Middle, and West.
- The three colors of the flag: white, blue, and red all have different meanings. the white symbolizes purity, the blue symbolizes the love that Tennesseans feel for their state, and the red symbolizes the times of war and peace.

- West Tennessee is where most of the state's cotton is grown. Between the Tennessee and Mississippi Rivers, this is rich river-bottom land.
